Huntsville, AL – Huntsville-based engineering services firm, JBS Solutions, Inc. will serve as subcontractor to Teledyne Brown Engineering, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, on the $596 Million Marshall Operations, Systems, Services and Integration II contract (MOSSI II). It provides for the management, personnel, supplies and equipment to support mission operations and ground systems development services to support the International Space Station (ISS) and its missions — potentially into the year 2031.

“We are honored to continue support for the important work being done for NASA through MOSSI II. Our team is dedicated to providing effective and efficient services for this mission, and we look forward to the next few years of furthering the United States’ progress in spaceflight exploration and operations,” JBS CEO and President Sherrie Nash said.

JBS is an SBA 8(A) certified Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) with employees working across the USA. It specializes in offering innovative solutions in mission operations, engineering services, logistics and transportation planning. It specializes in spaceflight planning, systems engineering and integration and mechanical design and analysis engineering. It has been a subcontractor to Teledyne Brown since 2012.

President of Teledyne Brown Engineering Scott Hall said, “Our team’s dedication to Marshall Space Flight Center, the International Space Station and NASA’s mission to explore space is undeniable… We look forward to working on MOSSI II and future space programs.”

Teledyne Brown, incumbent on the Missions Operations and Integration (MO&I) portion of the contract, has been working with the program for 20-plus years. A combination of the original MO&I and Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC) contracts, MOSSI II will encompass all phases of ISS operations — mission preparation, crew and flight controller training,

MOSSI II’s indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity portion of the contract is worth up to $85 million. The full ceiling value of $596.5 million allows for the scope of mission services. The contract covers work over a two-year base period, initially, with six individual option years plus an additional six-month option. JBS Solutions’ effective start date was January 2.

Work on MOSSI II is being performed at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville and Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas.
